Simply Recall privacy policy
Effective 10 October 2026
Simply Recall does not require an account and has no advertising, analytics or tracking. We do not receive your gameplay history, first-run answers or Apple Health readings.
Game data and deletion
Rounds, answers, reaction times, ratings, settings and first-run answers are stored on your device. Settings lets you export your gameplay records or reset your progress. Reset clears rounds and progress but keeps settings and first-run answers. Deleting the app removes its local data; copies you exported and device backups are managed separately.
Apple Health
With your permission, Simply Recall reads sleep, heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, caffeine and steps to compare them with your Daily Challenge results. Access is optional and read-only. The app does not write to Apple Health.
Health readings are processed on your device and held in memory. We do not receive, sell or share them, and they are never used for advertising or marketing. The app stores hours since your most recent sleep separately from your rounds and excludes that value from device backups. Rounds and settings can still be backed up according to your device’s settings. Exports you choose to make can include the hours-awake value.
You can turn off the Health connection in Simply Recall and revoke permission in the Health app or iOS Settings.
Game Center and purchases
Game Center is optional. If you use it, scores, ratings, streak records and achievements are sent to Apple under your Game Center profile. Apple controls their display and processing under its Game Center privacy policy. Resetting local progress does not remove records already sent to Apple.
Apple handles purchases and payment details. StoreKit supplies the app with verified purchase and subscription information to check access, restore purchases and recognise original paid-app buyers. We do not receive your card details.
Reminders, sharing and support
Reminders are scheduled locally on your device, without a push-notification service. Sharing a result card or exporting data happens only when you choose it through the iOS share sheet. The recipient or service you select receives that copy.
If you use our website's support form, we store the name, email, selected app, subject and message you submit, together with your IP address and browser information. We use support submissions to respond to your request and handle misuse of the form. Simply Recall is not directed at children under 13.
